Police Chief Carl R. Graziano is a twenty-five (25) year veteran of the Scranton Police Department. He has been the current Chief of Police in the City of Scranton since July of 2012. In addition to his current position within the Scranton Police Department, he has held the ranks of Patrolman, Detective Sergeant, and Captain. He also previously served seven (7) years as a narcotics investigator in the Scranton Police Department Narcotics Unit with the final three (3) years as the supervisor of that unit. Chief Graziano holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Luzerne County Community College, a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Keystone College, a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, is a 2006 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va. and is a 2016 graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. He is also an instructor at the Lackawanna College Police Academy.
Captain Dennis Lukasewicz has been a Police Officer with the City of Scranton since 1991. He has held the positions of Patrolman, Patrol Sergeant, and Crime Scene Investigator before becoming the Department Captain in 2016. Captain Lukasewicz has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Homeland Security, was an attendee of the inaugural PA State Police Leadership Development Program, and has numerous other training certificates to his credit. In addition, Captain Lukasewicz has been a member of the U.S. Army Reserve since 1987 currently holding the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 and has completed two deployments overseas and a mobilization to Washington D. C.
Lieutenant Leonard A. Namiotka is a twenty-three (23) year veteran of the Scranton Police Department. He has been the current Administrative Lieutenant in the City of Scranton since November 2004. Leonard oversees the training and records divisions. In addition to his current position within the Scranton Police Department, he has held the ranks of Patrolman, Corporal and Sergeant. He has also served on the SOG team for several years and is a certified car seat technician. Lieutenant Namiotka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Scranton.
